HOTEL OVERVIEW
You know what struck me first about the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island? It’s actually on an island – I mean, I knew that going in, but when you’re driving over that bridge on A1A, it really hits you that you’re leaving the mainland chaos behind. The resort sits right on Singer Island’s quieter northern tip, and honestly, that makes all the difference. You’re still close enough to West Palm Beach (maybe 15 minutes) but far enough away that you won’t hear traffic at night, just waves.
The property itself feels bigger than you’d expect from the outside. I’d say it’s got that classic Marriott reliability thing going on – nothing’s going to blow your mind, but nothing’s going to disappoint either, which is actually pretty refreshing. The rooms facing the ocean are worth the upgrade if you can swing it, because the views stretch all the way down the coast on clear days. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even during peak season. I think it’s because Singer Island doesn’t get the same party crowd as South Beach – you’re dealing more with families and couples who actually want to relax. The spa’s legit too, though I’d book treatments early since they fill up fast, especially in winter when all the snowbirds are down here.
Here’s the thing that’ll matter if you’re not from around here – the beach access is fantastic, and you’re on the less crowded stretch of Singer Island’s coastline. The sand’s that soft, pale stuff that doesn’t burn your feet, and the water’s usually pretty calm since you’re on the Atlantic side but protected a bit by the island’s positioning. Parking was surprisingly painless (they validate), and check-in was smooth even when I arrived during what looked like a wedding weekend. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM, but honestly, with that beach right there, I’m not sure why you’d need it unless you’ve got kids who prefer chlorine to salt water. One small thing – the elevators can be slow during busy times, but that’s pretty standard for any resort this size. If you’re planning to explore, you’re maybe 20 minutes from CityPlace in West Palm, and the Intracoastal’s right there if you want to do any boating or waterfront dining. It’s one of those places where you could easily stay put for a long weekend, but you’ve also got options if you want to venture out.
