This place sits right on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk (yeah, they spell it with a ‘w’ here, it’s a local thing), which is honestly one of South Florida’s best-kept secrets. You’ve got this wide, paved promenade that stretches for miles, perfect for morning runs or evening strolls, and it’s way less chaotic than Miami Beach. The resort’s beachfront setup is solid too – they’ve got loungers that aren’t packed like sardines, and the sand here is actually pretty decent for this part of the coast. I spent most mornings out there with coffee from their café, watching the cruise ships drift by on the horizon.
The rooms are comfortable without trying too hard to impress – clean lines, good AC (crucial in Florida, obviously), and those floor-to-ceiling windows that actually open, which is rarer than you’d think these days. The pool area gets busy during peak hours, but if you hit it early or around dinner time, it’s surprisingly peaceful. Their restaurant situation is pretty solid – the main dining spot does this coastal American thing that works, though honestly, some of the best food is just a short walk down the Broadwalk at the local joints the locals frequent. Parking is included, which is a blessing since street parking around here can be a nightmare, especially on weekends when the Fort Lauderdale crowd discovers this stretch of beach. The whole operation feels well-run – I never had issues with housekeeping or front desk stuff, and they seem to have figured out that sweet spot between attentive service and letting you do your own thing. If you’re looking for something that captures that relaxed Florida beach vibe without the South Beach pretension or the Daytona crowds, this place delivers.
