No circling around forever or paying through the nose for valet, which is honestly rare for an oceanfront spot.
The whole suite setup is what really sets this place apart from your typical beach hotel room where you’re practically sleeping on top of your suitcase. I mean, you’ve got an actual living area where you can spread out, plus a separate bedroom, which is clutch if you’re traveling with kids or just want somewhere to hang out that isn’t your bed. The balconies face the ocean – and when I say oceanfront, I mean you’re literally watching the waves roll in, not squinting between buildings to catch a glimpse of blue. Early morning coffee out there while the beach is still quiet? Pretty much perfect. You know what else is nice? The evening reception thing they do – complimentary drinks and snacks that are actually decent, not just stale pretzels. It’s this casual setup in the lobby area where you end up chatting with other travelers, and honestly, it beats paying resort prices for mediocre cocktails downstairs.
The location on Queensway puts you right in the sweet spot – close enough to all the Myrtle Beach action (Broadway at the Beach is maybe ten minutes away) but far enough south that you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of the main strip during peak season. The beach access is direct, no trudging through other properties or navigating weird walkways. Staff actually seems to know what they’re talking about too, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case. I had questions about bike rentals and pier fishing, and the front desk folks had actual recommendations, not just generic brochure stuff. Now, it’s not perfect – the elevators can be slow during busy times, and if you’re on a lower floor facing inland, you might catch some street noise from Queensway. But honestly, for a 4-star oceanfront property with suites, full breakfast included, and that prime location, it delivers on what matters. The 8.3 rating feels about right – it’s genuinely good without trying to be something it’s not.
