The beds are surprisingly good too – I’m picky about mattresses and slept better than I expected. Parking is free and easy, which honestly feels like a small miracle these days, and check-in was quick even during what seemed like a busy weekend.

Here’s the thing about this area – Bay Saint Louis has this laid-back charm that you don’t find in a lot of casino towns. During the day, you can walk around the historic downtown area or head to the beach, then come back for dinner and gaming without feeling like you’re trapped in some sterile casino bubble. The restaurants on-site are actually decent (I had surprisingly good seafood at their buffet), and the gaming floor strikes that sweet spot between having enough variety and not being so massive that you need GPS to find the bathroom. Sure, it’s not the flashiest place you’ll ever stay, and sometimes the weekend crowds can make the casino floor a bit chaotic, but honestly? For a Gulf Coast getaway that gives you options beyond just lying on the beach, this place delivers.
