The property itself sprawls along this gorgeous stretch of coastline, and they’ve done something really smart with the architecture – traditional Kerala-style cottages that don’t feel like a theme park version of “authentic.” The rooms (well, mine anyway) had these massive wooden beams and windows that you actually want to keep open because the sea breeze is that good. What sets this place apart though is how seriously they take the wellness aspect. I’m talking proper Ayurvedic treatments with doctors who ask detailed questions about your sleep patterns and digestion – not just spa treatments with exotic names. The morning yoga sessions happen right on the beach at sunrise, and honestly, even if you’re not usually into that sort of thing, the setting makes it worth trying.

The food situation is interesting too – they’ve got this whole concept where meals are designed around Ayurvedic principles, which I was skeptical about until I realized I was sleeping better and feeling more energetic than I had in months. The restaurant overlooks the water, and there’s something deeply satisfying about eating fresh fish curry while watching fishermen work their nets just offshore. Now, I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t the place if you want to party or if you’re looking for that resort vibe with multiple pools and swim-up bars. The pool here is lovely but small, and after 10 PM, things get pretty quiet. But that’s exactly why it works. You’re here to reset, not to rage. The staff genuinely seems to care about whether you’re getting what you need from your stay, which is refreshing after dealing with places where everyone’s just going through the motions. Beach access is direct and private, the Wi-Fi is reliable enough for staying connected (though you might not want to), and parking is never an issue since most guests aren’t doing the rental car thing anyway. If you’re considering this place, book during the October to March window – the monsoon season is beautiful in its own way, but you’ll want those clear skies for the full experience.
