But here’s the thing: being right next to Dharwadkar nursing home might sound odd on paper, but it actually means you’re in this more residential area where locals live, not just the touristy strip. I mean, you’re still maybe a 7-minute walk to the main Calangute beach action, but you get to escape back to somewhere that feels… well, less like a carnival at night.

The resort itself has that polished five-star look without being stuffy about it – you can walk through the lobby in flip-flops and nobody blinks. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed the spa situation; it’s not just some afterthought rooms, but actually feels integrated into the whole place. The pool area becomes this perfect middle ground where you’re getting proper resort vibes but can still hear the faint sounds of actual Goa life happening beyond the walls. The 7.9 rating feels about right; it’s genuinely good without being perfect, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. You can walk to proper local restaurants (not just hotel food), there’s actual parking space which is sort of a miracle in Calangute, and when you want to hit the famous beach scene, you’re close enough. But when you want to decompress from all that energy, you’ve got a legitimate retreat to come back to. It’s the kind of place where you might actually use the spa after a long day of exploring instead of just walking past it to crash in your room.
