The rooms are honestly better than you’d expect from a 3-star property in rural Maharashtra. Nothing fancy, but everything works – the hot water actually comes out hot (miracle in these parts), beds are firm enough that you won’t wake up with a backache, and here’s the thing nobody mentions in hotel descriptions: it’s genuinely quiet. Like, the kind of quiet where you hear insects and distant temple bells instead of traffic. The staff knows the area inside out, which is clutch because half the waterfalls and hiking spots around Koyna aren’t marked on any map. They’ll tell you which trails are worth the trek and, more importantly, which ones to skip during monsoon season when everything turns into a muddy mess.
