HOTEL OVERVIEW
You know how some places just hit different the moment you walk in? The Terrace Club Wellness Resort at Busena is one of those spots. I mean, sure, the Busena area has plenty of fancy resorts scattered along the coast, but this one actually delivers on that whole “wellness retreat” vibe without feeling pretentious about it. The location on Kise Peninsula is honestly perfect – you’re far enough from Nago’s main drag to feel secluded, but close enough that you can still grab authentic Okinawan food if the resort dining gets too refined for your taste.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to make a 5-star place feel… I don’t know, approachable? The lobby has these massive windows overlooking the East China Sea, and instead of stuffy formal furniture, they’ve got these low-slung chairs where you can actually relax with a book. The wellness facilities are where they really shine though – the spa treatments incorporate traditional Okinawan healing practices (they use local sea salt and that incredible Ryukyu limestone), and the fitness center has equipment that doesn’t look like it’s been gathering dust since 2015. I spent way too much time in their meditation gardens, which are tucked into these quiet corners where you can hear the waves but not the pool chatter.
The rooms deserve a mention too because honestly, some “luxury” places in Okinawa can feel cookie-cutter, but these have character. Floor-to-ceiling windows are standard, the bathrooms have those deep soaking tubs that actually fit tall people, and – this might sound weird but it matters – the air conditioning is whisper quiet. You’ll sleep like the dead, which is saying something since I’m usually a light sleeper. Food-wise, their restaurant does this interesting fusion of Kaiseki techniques with Okinawan ingredients, though if you’re craving something more casual, there’s a little izakaya about ten minutes down Route 110 that the locals frequent. The resort staff will call you a taxi, no problem. One small thing – parking can get tight during cherry blossom season (yes, even in Okinawa), so maybe plan accordingly if you’re renting a car. But really, with that 9.4 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get it completely.

Great huge room , staff very accommodating and kind . The tea time and wine time with piano was amazing and appreciated . The thalasso baths were very useful after a busy travel schedule. This is a beautiful property! Everything is so well kept, clean and beautiful. A very relaxing resort full of stress-free activities. A luxurious resort that made our family feel well taken care of with a phenomenal view! The entire staff were superb always making sure we were greeted and taken care of. Definitely recommend it and will be coming back. Amazing breakfast.
