Grand Prince is the quietest among all the Prince Hotels in Karuizawa. I enjoyed the quietness and relaxing atmosphere. The daily lounge facilities available to all guests from 10am to 8pm was great!
The french dinner ( paid) was exquisite and reasonably priced.

What could be improved: None

It was helpful to have the courtesy buses to get us to and from the town. We enjoyed the spa which was of a high standard, also the library area with complimentary refreshments and using the complimentary bicycles. The staff were extremely helpful.

What could be improved: The decor in our room was a little worn but everything worked perfectly.

Breakfast is amazing whilst the service level of the staff is wonderful. The facilities are a bit tiring but provides good comfort. Love the walk in the surrounding area. Great for a short bike ride. What could be improved: The overall hotel and rooms may need upgrading. The welcoming drink idea is great but the area serving it is quite packed...

The hotel is located in forest with shuttle bus, it’s beautiful when you walk around in prince area.

What could be improved: I would recommend a Japanese style room

Nice view in the hotel garden. Room is clean and spacious, beds are comfortable.

What could be improved: Costs a bit high, but might be the busy season rates

The view from our room was beautiful.

What could be improved: Nespresso Machine not working. Must pay for parking.

There is shuttle bus from station to all the hotels and ski resort/ hotspring /shopping centre so transportation is not a problem. The view at the room is fantastic. Need reservation for breakfast where you can enjoy a delicious meal with great view.

My guests were not happy.
The lessons are in one reception but the rentals in another and no one answers or gives directions, they don’t speak English .
Should say they are a hotel just for locals maybe

What could be improved: it’s the furthest Prince chain hotel away from the station. You have to wait for the shuttle bus or call a cab. No drinks provided in the room as you have to have them in the library lounge. Minimal restaurant selection. No convenience store like the Prince West, no laundromat, no hot spring.

Shun from Hong Kong (21 December 2023)

Free access to hot spring though need to take the shuttle. The hotel complex is big with a very good outlet.

What could be improved: If you wish to stay close to F&B and hot spring, better stay at the West.
