Gorgeous, modern cabin. Lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. Views, service and pools were all great. Had a lovely massage in the spa with Kelly. Evening meals in the restaurant were great.

What could be improved: Very limited food offering available during the day for breakfast / lunch.

What could be improved: The pool is also beautiful. but i hope it has more surrounding trees or shades to cover up when you want to cool down from the hot spring or if you want to hide from the sun. would i appreciate if the pool will open earlier than 9 am when the sun is not yet fully up. so we can enjoy the pool much longer in the mornings. also noticed the plants planted on the surrounding plant boxes. maybe plant flowers instead of some kind of tall grass. the pool side will be more pleasant look at.

New chef at the on-location restaurant and food is now fabulous! We went there last April and had a pretty underwhelming and costly dinner. Was hesitant to eat there again, but we were told the Chef had changed. Dinner was fantastic that we ate there both nights of our stay. Service was super slow the first night and very quick the second night.

What could be improved: We stayed in Queen cabin which does not have a microwave (it's listed). The wooden bed frame has corners that stick out much farther than mattress and we both banged our legs on the corners multiple times, since space is very tight around the bed.
The hot springs only opens at 9 a.m., as does the breakfast cafe. Also closes early at 8 and dinner last seating is 7:30. We were up at 7 and really need to bring breaky foods because waiting until 9 is not a great option. We were mountain biking Mt Abriel close by and wanted an early start due to the heat. This place would due well to open the pools earlier and also the cafe.
It's a massive property that could use more facilities - how about a gym or tennis/pickleball/outdoor sports court? They could do so much more with this property - seems like it needs an overhaul.

What could be improved: Terrible (huge) pillows. Doing the housekeeping (stripping beds, sweeping floor) reminded me of being in a hostel. We were warned about the restaurant, but not eating a special meal with wine on a terrace was a huge disappointment. No discount was offered for having to eat food truck meals.

Breakfast was amazing, kudos to the cook. Maintenance personnel were very very helpful and friendly.

What could be improved: Hot springs hours are a little more short than we would like, it opens a little too late

We are a couple in our 80s with some mobility limitations. We drove the five hours from Kamloops to spend an overnight at Halcylon. We enjoyed our stay. Cabin 6 was outstanding. After some learning we were able to navigate the hot springs facilities with few problems. A nine out of 10.

What could be improved: Regarding the staff. The two women who served us drinks and dinner were very helpful and aware of our needs, as was the man who served us breakfast. Tyler, a young man even gave us a cart ride to our cabin when the key card failed to work.
Now here is the downside on staff. It rests with the young man who we first encountered at the reception desk. We were very early for the 4:00 P.M. check in. He seemed to be more interested in detailing the rules to us than welcoming us to our stay. He was quick to collect an extra $40.00 for us to use the the pool facilities prior to 4:00. However he was unhelpful in explaining the facilities to us. When we asked him about the Halcylon history his response was to say he knew nothing. We recommend that he reads “ The story of Halcylon Hot Springs “ written by Rosemarie Parent and easily found on the web sites for Halcylon. First impressions are important and ours was dismal. Will we return? We have not decided.
