Nothing fancy, but the beds are decent and the bathrooms actually have good water pressure (which, if you’ve traveled around smaller Chilean towns, you’ll appreciate). The staff really knows their stuff about stargazing spots too – they pointed me toward a couple of viewpoints that weren’t crawling with tour groups, including this little hill about ten minutes’ walk away where you can set up with a blanket and just… well, lose yourself in the Milky Way.

The location is actually pretty smart when you think about it. You’re close enough to walk to Vicuña’s center – maybe 8-10 minutes to the main plaza where all the pisco distillery tours start – but far enough out that you’re not hearing drunk tourists stumbling back from the bars at 2 AM. Parking’s easy (just street parking, but it’s a safe neighborhood), and honestly, the whole area has this laid-back vibe that I wasn’t expecting. The breakfast is simple but fresh, with good coffee and local bread, plus they’ll pack you something to go if you’re heading out early for one of those sunrise valley tours. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, but there’s something refreshing about a place that just does the basics well without trying to be something it’s not.
