When I first pulled up to Aadisaktthi Leisure Resort, Kovalam, I’ll be honest — it wasn’t what I expected from a five-star property. The entrance along K.S. Road in Vellar feels more understated than grand, but that actually turned out to be part of its charm. You know what struck me most? The resort sits in this lovely pocket of Kovalam that feels removed from the tourist chaos, yet you’re still close enough to the famous beaches when you want them. I mean, Vellar isn’t the main strip where all the crowds gather — it’s more residential and authentic. What I loved was being able to walk to local spots that most visitors never discover, like the small fishing village nearby where you can actually watch the morning catch come in. The couples I met there were all raving about how romantic and secluded it felt.

The Room Experience

My room was spacious in that effortless way that makes you immediately relax your shoulders. The design leans traditional Kerala style but with modern comfort — think carved wooden details and contemporary bathrooms that actually work well. Honestly, the best part was the private balcony where I spent most evenings with a book. The air conditioning was a blessing during the humid afternoons, and the bed was one of those you sink into and forget your troubles.

The spa treatments use traditional Ayurvedic techniques, and while I’m usually skeptical of hotel spas, this one felt authentic rather than just going through the motions.
