Check-in was smooth when I stayed, and the lobby has this airy, coastal vibe that doesn’t scream “chain hotel” even though, well, it obviously is. The rooms are what you’d expect from a 4-star Marriott – clean, comfortable, with that signature bedding that actually lives up to the hype. If you snag an ocean-facing room (worth the upgrade, trust me), you’ll wake up to those endless Gulf views that make you remember why people retire to Florida.

What really sets this place apart is how it handles the beach experience. They’ve got chairs and umbrellas set up, but it never feels overcrowded like some resort beaches do. The pool area is spacious and gets good sun most of the day, though it can get pretty busy with families during peak season – just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a quiet escape. The bar service is decent, and honestly, having drinks delivered to your beach chair feels pretty luxurious even when you know you’re paying resort prices. Parking is valet only, which some people gripe about, but it’s actually nice not having to hunt for a spot in this area where beach parking is basically a blood sport. One thing I appreciated – the elevators are fast and there are enough of them that you’re not waiting around in soggy swimwear.
