Enjoy Santiago

Autopista Los Libertadores Km 53, 2100000 Los Andes, Chile

Guest reviews: 7.4

HOTEL OVERVIEW

Honestly, when I first pulled up to Enjoy Santiago on the Autopista Los Libertadores, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the location at kilometer 53 puts you right in Los Andes, which is actually a pretty sweet spot if you know the area. It’s not Santiago proper (despite the name), but that’s kind of the point. You’re nestled in the Aconcagua Valley with the Andes practically in your backyard, and I mean that literally – step outside and those snow-capped peaks are right there, especially dramatic in the morning light.

The hotel itself has that polished five-star feel, though honestly, the 7.4 rating makes sense when you dig into the details. The lobby’s impressive enough with all that marble and those floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the mountain views, but it’s the little things that either work or don’t. Check-in was smooth when I arrived around 3 PM on a Tuesday – the staff actually remembered my name throughout the stay, which was a nice touch. The rooms are spacious (I had one of the valley-view suites) and well-appointed, though the AC can be a bit temperamental, and you know what? In this climate, that matters. What really got me was the spa area – they’ve got this indoor pool that somehow manages to feel connected to the landscape outside, and the thermal treatments are legit. I spent way too much time there, but no regrets.

Here’s the thing about staying in Los Andes versus Santiago city center – you’re trading urban convenience for something more authentic. The hotel sits perfectly for exploring the wine regions (Casablanca and San Antonio valleys aren’t far), and if you’re into skiing, Portillo is actually closer from here than from downtown Santiago. The restaurant takes advantage of the location too; their breakfast spread includes local cheeses and produce that you’d never find at the chain hotels, and dinner service on the terrace is genuinely memorable when the weather cooperates. Parking’s included and plentiful, which anyone who’s dealt with Santiago’s city center will appreciate. The downside? You’ll definitely want a car – there’s not much walkable nightlife, and while the hotel shuttle runs to certain spots, you’re pretty dependent on planning ahead. But honestly, after a day of wine tasting or hiking, sinking into those beds with the mountain silence around you beats city noise any day.

What could be improved: Staff at the casino bar were rude and wouldn’t take our order and we had issues with the security as my passport came up as someone else’s name or my boyfriends wouldn’t work either. However the reception got it fixed later that day. It says on here that they speak English which wasn’t the case sadly as I only speak English so had to get my boyfriend to translate everything.

What could be improved: The room 707 was very rundown from the chair peeling off, the carpet broken in various places, the bathroom floor flooding, no hand towels, broken bathrobe, the Air conditioning NOT FUNCTIONAL, finally at 3am we were able to change to another room and get some rest, we had a early business appointment witch I missed due to the late night. On the way back we WANTED to spend some time in the Casino playing but didn't feel if after a terrible night.

What could be improved: Personnel, curtains on the room (light invading the room at the morning), restaurant (just a pizza bar?), no mini bar, no minimum medications available

What could be improved: I stayed at Enjoy Resort Santiago thinking I was in for a relaxing, luxurious getaway — turns out, I was in for a long lesson in patience and lowered expectations.

First off, the location: unless your idea of a good time is being stranded miles away from the city with nothing but a long taxi ride between you and civilization, this is not it. The resort is incredibly remote, and once you’re there, you realize quickly there’s almost nothing to do on-site either. No lively atmosphere, no exciting facilities — just a pool, and a sense of regret.

As for the decor, imagine someone decorated a resort once in the early 2000s and then hit pause — faded furniture, uninspired design, and a vibe that screams “we gave up halfway.” Definitely not the modern, stylish environment you might expect from the photos online.

The staff? Unfortunately, hospitality must not be part of their training manual. Service was cold, careless, and often felt like we were burdening them by simply asking basic questions. When you’re paying a premium rate, being treated like an afterthought isn’t exactly the welcome you hope for.

And the value? Honestly, I’ve stayed at budget hotels with better service and atmosphere. Enjoy Resort charges like a five-star destination, but delivers a two-star experience at best.

In short: unless you’re looking for an overpriced, isolated, and underwhelming vacation spot, you’re better off booking literally anywhere else.
