HOTEL OVERVIEW
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Vail over the years, and honestly? The Four Seasons just hits different. You know that feeling when you pull up somewhere and immediately think “okay, this is going to be good” – that’s exactly what happens when you see this place nestled right at the base of Vail Mountain. I mean, the location alone is pretty ridiculous – you’re literally steps from the Eagle Bahn Gondola, which saves you from that whole shuttle situation that can be a real pain during peak season.
What actually surprised me most wasn’t the obvious luxury stuff (though the heated outdoor pool in February is kind of magical), but the little things that show they really get mountain hospitality. The ski concierge team actually knows what they’re talking about – they’ll tell you which runs are getting sun at what time of day, or steer you away from the tourist traps on Blue Sky Basin when it’s too crowded. And here’s something I appreciated: they have this boot warming service that sounds gimmicky until you’re sliding into perfectly toasty boots at 8 AM when it’s 10 degrees outside. The spa is legitimately one of the best I’ve experienced anywhere – not just saying that – and after a long day on the mountain, those hot stone treatments hit different when you can actually see snow falling outside the windows.
The rooms are what you’d expect from Four Seasons, but they nailed the mountain lodge vibe without going overboard on the whole rustic thing. Big windows, obviously, and if you can swing it, get something facing the mountain because the sunrise views are honestly pretty spectacular. Fair warning though – if you’re here during Christmas week or Presidents’ Day weekend, it gets busy. Not just the hotel, but all of Vail, so plan accordingly. The restaurant scene is solid (try the elk if you’re feeling adventurous), though honestly some of my favorite meals were just ordering room service and eating on the balcony watching the groomers work the slopes at night. There’s something about that combination – good food, mountain air, and the quiet of Vail after the lifts close – that just works. It’s definitely not cheap, but if you’re doing Vail right, this is probably where you want to be based.

A beautiful stay, the location of the property is great for both vail village and skiing. The ski chalet facilities included were a real highlight as was the outdoor area of the hotel with heated pool, jacuzzis and open fire. The service and attention to detail was amazing throughout our stay and I would highly recommend a stay here.

The staff and the service. Paige Letson (asst manager) went above and beyond to treat us well when an error was made in our reservation. She made sure we were well taken care of. We appreciated her communication and efforts to assure our satisfaction.

Everything was great,location is perfect was a walking distance to vail village.
The resort is super clean & modern. Room very spacious ,bed super comfortable
but the pillows were super soft not to our liking probably that was the only negative.
Staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely stay here on our next trip to vail.

The spa area/amenities were amazing. The rooms are spacious and very cozy. Our Mountain View had a fire place in the room which we loved. The massages were incredible. The views of the mountain from the hotel room are stellar and the staff are extremely friendly. In person, concierge was extremely helpful and attentive.
