HOTEL OVERVIEW
You know what really hits you when you first pull up to Hammock Beach? It’s that “oh wow, this is actually happening” moment when you see the sprawling property stretching along the coast. I mean, Palm Coast isn’t exactly Myrtle Beach in terms of crowds, but this place has serious presence – think grand resort vibes without feeling like you’re trapped in a tourist factory.
The golf situation here is honestly pretty impressive, and I’m saying this as someone who’s mediocre at best with a club. They’ve got two courses, and the Ocean Course is the one everyone talks about (designed by Jack Nicklaus, if you’re into that sort of thing). What’s cool is you can actually see golfers from some of the hotel rooms, which sounds boring but is oddly relaxing to watch while you’re having morning coffee. The spa gets busy on weekends – probably because it’s one of the nicer ones between Jacksonville and Daytona – so book treatments early if that’s your thing. The pools are well, multiple pools, and the main one overlooks the ocean in a way that makes you feel like you’re doing resort life right. Though honestly, the beach access is what sold me. It’s not the widest stretch of sand you’ll ever see, but it’s clean and way less crowded than anything you’ll find further south.
Here’s the thing about staying here though – it really depends on what you’re after. If you want that authentic old Florida fishing village vibe, this isn’t it. But if you want to feel pampered while still being close enough to drive to St. Augustine for the day (about 45 minutes down A1A), it works perfectly. The rooms are solid four-star quality, nothing revolutionary but they’ve clearly kept up with renovations. Parking is easy, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many coastal places make it a headache. The restaurant situation is decent – not blow-your-mind amazing, but better than hotel food has any right to be. I actually found myself eating there more than I planned because driving into Palm Coast proper for dinner felt like more effort than it was worth after a day of sun and golf. Check-in was smooth, staff seems genuinely happy to be there (always a good sign), and the whole place has this relaxed but polished feel. It’s the kind of spot where you can wear flip-flops to dinner and not feel underdressed, but you could also dress up if you wanted to feel fancy. Really, it’s a solid choice if you want resort amenities without resort prices or pretentiousness.

I really liked the ocean view and the Italian restaurant, Delfinos. I especially liked the comfort of the room and how it resembled a harbor style theme. The lobby had a beautiful layout and design. My fiancé and I loved our time together at Hammock Resort.

Always love it ! Alot of Amenities. The Sushi , Delfinos & Atlantic Grille are the Best. Spa is a definite visit. Beautiful & Relaxing. The only Reason I didnt give a 10 is we have been coming here since 2010/2011. It needs updating on the outside. We live locally & love coming here.
