Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort

I loved the private netted Tiger beach with deck chairs and relaxing music. The heated indoor pool was great and the heated small outdoor infinity pool was so quaint and peaceful. I loved that they had a gym with lockers. I loved that there was coin laundry and free parking with a buggy to your vehicle / the staff remove your luggage for you and deliver it to your room. The staff were super helpful and friendly. It was an easy walk to many restaurants on the Main Street and I felt super safe walking alone at night. The bed was so comfortable, aircon great and the big bath was excellent!! The views from the balcony were insane and sunset from the beach, wow! Cannot fault this hotel. Hands down the best value for money in Onna!

What could be improved: The 40min wait for the buffet breakfast and the ticketing system that I couldn’t download on my phone. I also didn’t realise that you had to have coupons to access the gym, indoor pool and deck chair hire. I thought they would’ve been included in the room rate. I thankfully had access to these facilities when I first stayed at the hotel but I returned for an extra night and it wasn’t included in the room rate. I had a room upgrade so was happy with that!

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Entering the grand hotel is alike walking into a Japanese drama on Hotel. Every staff was very very polite and even accommodated/attended to our crying toddler with biscuits during check-in. The facilities were well kept, breakfast (jap) was superb as well. The toddler room was very fun, and the beach was also well kept. Lastly, their special stamp activity for children was really captivating and allowed us to cover the whole hotel and explore it excitedly. The onsite cathedral was also fairytale like. All in all, a very pleasant stay! Not forgetting, our room faced the sea and was very very spacious for a great price that included the bathhouse entry and breakfast. Ohh and outside the hotel is just a short walk away from two convenient stores and many wonderful restaurants!

Excellent location and facilities. Outstanding food options and exceptional staff support made our stay so enjoyable.

What could be improved: We missed the outdoor pool season, but that was our oversized. Otherwise, we enjoyed everything about our stay.

What could be improved: Missed the outdoor pool season, and the beach activities, however that was our fault due to seasonal requirements. We will adjust our visit next time.

Location between Naha and aquarium is good, lots of restaurants in Onna so lots of choice. Facilities at the hotel are great, perfect for families - private beach, pools, with slides etc. We got a room upgrade and was overlooking the beach / ocean. Free parking, small thing but many hotels charge!

What could be improved: The breakfast, it's fine no issues, but nothing to rave about.
