Oh my gosh.. where do I begin. A beautiful ryokan with both public and private onsens with fantastic winter views. Dinner was a huge kaiseki meal with sashimi, steamed seafood, beef sukiyaki and various appetisers. The rooms and the entire resort was elegantly decorated at every turn. The best part that topped off the day and experience is the ramen offering at 10pm for supper.

What could be improved: the resort was hard to find as one can't see the hotel signboards clearly.

It was a very, very beautiful hotel and room. The yukata had several sizes. The meals were great (as long as you like fish). What could be improved: The location is great, for Jozankei, but the town can be difficult to get to/from from Sapporo. We didn’t know that there were private shuttles that could be reserved. What could be improved: The location is great, for Jozankei, but the town can be difficult to get to/from from Sapporo. We didn’t know that there were private shuttles that could be reserved. The buses were fairly crowded and taxis difficult to get. The facility did not allow any check in before 3 pm but then there was a long queue and lots of people waiting in the lobby. I thought that could have been better organized but they did allow us to leave our luggage there when we arrived early.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They make you feel super welcome. Facility is very clean and beautiful. DO NOT miss the breakfast or dinners they are amazing. The surrounding area is fun to walk around but might have more to offer when not in winter. Although I would still recommend winter, especially if you're a skier. If you want a quiet mountain break, this is the spot.

What could be improved: Absolutely nothing. I really can't recommend this place more.

The property ambience was great, and the staff were attentive. I love how the rooms looked.

What could be improved: Some customers did not follow the rules in the use of the Onsen, and the water quality suffered. The Hinoki bath in the room did need a little bit of cleaning.

What could be improved: Need more Shuttle buses and public transportation to airport.
