Khas Bagh Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when our taxi turned off the main Amber road into what felt like the middle of nowhere – just fields and that dusty Rajasthani landscape stretching everywhere. But then we hit these massive gates, and honestly, it’s like stepping into some maharaja’s private world that time forgot. Khas Bagh sits in this little village called Natata, which most people have never heard of, but it’s actually brilliant because you get the real Rajasthan experience without the tourist circus that Jaipur city center has become.
The property itself is… well, calling it a hotel feels wrong somehow. It’s more like staying in a heritage haveli that someone’s grandmother might have owned, except with really good Wi-Fi and air conditioning that actually works. The architecture is pure old-school Rajasthani – all those intricate jali screens, courtyards that catch the evening breeze just right, and these gorgeous frescoes that you’ll find yourself staring at during breakfast. I mean, breakfast happens in this covered courtyard where peacocks literally strut around like they own the place (which, let’s be honest, they probably do). The staff here gets it too – they’re not hovering constantly but somehow always appear exactly when you need something. Check-in was refreshingly smooth, and they actually remember your name, which is rarer than you’d think at five-star places.
What really sold me on this place is how quiet it gets at night. I’m talking about that deep countryside silence where you can hear the wind in the trees and maybe some distant temple bells from the village. During the day though, it’s perfectly positioned for exploring – Amber Fort is literally down the road, maybe fifteen minutes by rickshaw, and you can beat the crowds if you head out early. The hotel’s driver (ask for Ravi if he’s still there) knows all the back routes and timing tricks. The pool area is gorgeous in the late afternoon when the light hits those sandstone walls just right, and honestly, after a day of climbing around forts in the heat, that’s exactly where you want to be with a cold beer. Sure, it’s not walking distance to the main city bazaars, but that’s actually perfect – you get the best of both worlds without the constant honking and chaos. This place has that 9.0 rating for good reason, and I get why people keep coming back.

Absolutely stunning structure, and the staff is very helpful as well. They offer you the best of Rajasthani cuisine you can think of. Don't miss out on having Chai/Coffee on the terrace at sunset/sunrise time. Very flexible with checkin and out. I...
I loved everything about Khas Bagh. I cannot express in words what a beautiful experience it was. I just wish we could have a Khas Bagh in different parts of India. Amazing experience and amazing staff. I just await my next stay at Khas Bagh. Will...
Almost everything. Wonderfully comfortable, excellent food, attentive staff, visually stunning, so quiet at night that only the crickets and peacocks disturbed our sleep. We stayed for four days and could have happily stayed there for another week.
The staff were great and friendly. The property was beautiful and well located.

This was the most luxurious place we stayed in India. The hotel has a historic look and feel and is also clean and up to date. I liked how architectural motifs we saw in the forts and palaces we visited in Jaipur were imitates in the decor of the...
The place gives very heritage and royal feeling , but to mention the roads that lead to Khas bagh from the topsy turvy lanes of Natata village are very poor , all the roads are broken with big big holes on it....
Khas Bagh is located in a quiet rural area, just a 15 minute drive from the Amer and the Amber Palace. The property and the grounds are beautiful and excellently maintained. I have stayed several times at Khas Bagh, which is my favorite hotel in the...
