The thing that gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between authentic Japanese hospitality and what international travelers actually need. I mean, the sauna situation alone – which, let’s be honest, the name should’ve given away – is absolutely next level. After spending days on the slopes (or hiking if you’re there in summer), sinking into their traditional-style sauna feels like pure magic. The staff actually knows how to run it properly too, not like some places where it’s more of a decoration.
