Mandurah Quay Resort Overview
First Impressions
The Mandurah Quay Resort sits right on the marina, and honestly, that’s the first thing that hits you — the water views are everywhere. This four-star property doesn’t try to be overly flashy, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the way it’s positioned along Marina Quay Drive. You know what I mean? It feels like they actually thought about how guests would want to experience Mandurah, rather than just plunking down a building and calling it a day.
The Perfect Waterfront Setting
What really works here is the location — couples consistently rate it above 9 out of 10, and after spending time there, I get why. The marina setting means you’re watching boats come and go while having your morning coffee, and the Peel Inlet stretches out in front of you like this massive, calm lake. It’s actually one of the largest inland waterways in the southern hemisphere, though most people don’t realize that. The resort takes full advantage of this with room that face the water, and you’ll find yourself just… watching. There’s something meditative about it.
Accommodation and Comfort
The rooms themselves are well-appointed without being stuffy — think clean lines, comfortable beds, and those water views I keep mentioning. Most units come with a kitchen setup, which is honestly pretty practical when you’re staying for more than a night or two. You can grab fresh seafood from the local markets (Mandurah’s known for its blue swimmer crabs) and actually do something with it. The balconies are where you’ll spend most of your downtime, especially during those golden hour moments when the light hits the water just right.
Activities and Amenities
Here’s where the resort really delivers — there’s a fitness center if you’re into that sort of thing, but more importantly, you’ve got fishing practically at your doorstep. The Peel-Harvey Estuary system is incredible for fishing, and the staff actually knows which spots are working on any given day. There’s also a golf course within a couple miles, though I’ll be honest, with all that water around, I found myself more interested in getting out on a boat. The parking situation is refreshingly straightforward too — free and right on-site, which matters more than you’d think when you’re hauling fishing gear or golf clubs around.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is this combination of genuine waterfront access and that relaxed Mandurah vibe. You’re close enough to Perth (about an hour’s drive) that it doesn’t feel remote, but far enough away that you actually unwind. The restaurant scene in town has really improved over the years — there are some solid options within walking distance along the foreshore. Most guests end up extending their stays, and I think it’s because the place doesn’t overwhelm you with activities or pressure to be constantly entertained. Sometimes the best upscale experience is just having space to breathe, you know?
To book wellness retreats near mineral springs, guests plan ahead for detox programs and quiet forest-bathing trails.

Fantastic quiet location. Pool is amazing for kids, perfect temperature and great to have the shallow section for little kids. Beds comfy, villa was clean, and check in/out was seamless.
The pool facilities and accommodation were great. It was clean and well looked after.
Pool was fantastic. Resort is close to a brewery which we used for breakfast and dinner.
Great Location just across the road from Boundary Island Brewery and the Resort gave us access to the private boat ramp and lets us park our trailer on the grass at the resort.
