It’s about a 20-minute drive from the Mall Road chaos, but honestly? That distance is exactly what makes this place work.

The hotel itself has that solid five-star infrastructure you’d want – decent rooms, reliable hot water (which, you know what, isn’t always a given in hill stations), and the kind of service that doesn’t make you feel like you’re bothering anyone when you ask for extra towels. What really got me though was stepping out onto the property and realizing you’re surrounded by actual forest. I mean, not just a few decorative trees, but proper Himalayan cedar and oak that goes on for miles. The morning walks here are genuinely spectacular – you can take the trail that leads toward Naldehra and it’s basically just you, some langur monkeys, and views that stretch all the way to the Pir Panjal range on clear days.
