HOTEL OVERVIEW
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of resorts in Maui, and honestly? Most of them feel like they’re trying way too hard to be everything to everyone. But Montage Kapalua Bay – man, this place actually gets it right. When you pull up that winding drive on Bay Drive (and yes, the parking situation is totally fine, unlike some of the chaos you’ll find down in Wailea), you’re immediately hit with this sense that you’re somewhere special. Not in a flashy, look-at-me kind of way, but more like… well, like you’ve stumbled onto some wealthy friend’s private estate that just happens to overlook one of the most gorgeous bays on the island.
The thing about Kapalua Bay that a lot of people don’t realize is that it’s this perfect little protected cove – which means the water stays relatively calm even when the rest of the north shore is getting pounded by winter swells. I mean, you can actually swim here year-round without getting tossed around like a rag doll. The resort sits right above all this, and honestly, every single room has views that’ll make you forget to check your phone for hours. The staff here actually knows the area too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They’ll tell you about the Coastal Trail that runs right behind the property (incredible sunset walk, by the way) or point you toward Fleming Beach if you want even better snorkeling than what’s right in front of the hotel.
What really sold me on this place though is how it feels authentic to Hawaii without being kitschy about it. The architecture makes sense – it’s not trying to be some Vegas version of tropical luxury. The rooms are spacious without being cavernous, and there’s this attention to detail that shows up in weird little ways, like how the lanai furniture is actually comfortable enough to spend your morning coffee time on, or how the shower pressure is absolutely perfect (trust me, after a day of hiking around Haleakala, this matters). The service hits that sweet spot where people are genuinely helpful without hovering or being overly rehearsed. And you know what? The food is actually good – not just resort-good, but legitimately worth eating even if you weren’t staying here. That 9.4 rating isn’t some fluke; this place earned it by doing all the little things right while sitting in one of the most naturally beautiful spots on an island full of beautiful spots. If you’re going to splurge on Maui, this is where you do it.

Beautiful property and easy access to beach with complimentary services from the resort (beach chair, umbrella and toys!)
We stayed in the three bedroom villa for a family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers, it was extremely spacious and comfortable! We loved everything about our stay and the staff were absolutely wonderful

저는 신혼여행으로 이곳을 방문했는데, 모든것이 다 가능한 리죠트라고 보시면됩니다. 호텔서비스는 두말할것도 없고 이곳에 묵고있다는 이유로 주변시설 대여 등 많은 것들이 편해집니다. 방은 한 대가족이 쉬어도 될정도의 규모였고 전자렌지, 커피머신 충분한 식기류, 다양한 주류에 해당하는 유리잔, 세탁기, 건조기, 등등 다있어요. 가격은 비싸긴한데, 그만한 가치를 합니다. 가까운식당에서 술한잔 한 날엔 가게에 몽타주에 묵고있다고하면 몽타주에서 라이드도 와줘요.
주 이용고객층은 노후를 즐기시는 할아버지 할머니들과 가족 단위 이긴 했습니다.
