And if you’re planning to hit up Matsushima Bay or the other day trip spots, the bus connections from this area are way better than from the station hotels where everyone else stays. The only minor downside? Parking can be a bit of a hassle if you’re driving, and weekend nights you’ll hear some street noise until around midnight – but honestly, that’s just city life in Japan. For the price point and what you get (especially those hot springs), it’s hard to complain.
