Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa

I would have given them 10/10 if not the hiccups with breakfast. It’s otherwise perfect.

What could be improved: For a trip for leisure I wouldn’t plan too much and want to just go down for breakfast when I get up. That was the reason I chose a resort. However, the restaurant is too small to cater all guests. There is always a long queue and I was not aware of the reservation system. I missed two breakfast as a result.

Nice ambiance, comfort and location!

Amazing room, very spacious and stunning views.
Some services are exclusive and come with additional purchase (the spa - onsen, is extra charged). The pool and outdoor area were not available, under maintenance. These were not informed during the booking.

The breakfast buffet is incredible, with western and Asian options. We had the chance to try their exclusive Japanese style breakfast, which was outstanding! Recommend to try it - cannot be reserved in advance, so make sure you wake up early and line for it.

We extended our stay here, +2 days. It was very convenient and accessible by car. Good to explore the central and northern areas of Okinawa. Also pretty close to the airport (about 1hr drive).

What could be improved: To not have been informed in advance that some services of the hotel were exclusive and with extra charges.

I like the space of the room, it is very spacious, clean. and a nice view of the sea. The toilet light is very bright.
The room walkway is also very clean and good walking space.
The hotel is very busy and there are many people around so make the place very lively with many children and families.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and some speak English too.
They have many activities in the hotel, especially on New Year's Eve where they have a performance and we get to see the fireworks by the poolside and doing a countdown to 2025. It was very nice experience. Great job!
The breakfast spread was very good and the buffet dinner has such a wide spread. Very good!

What could be improved: What we did not really like is the shower area. Because it is frosted glass at the shower area, so when the lights are on, we can actually see the person's body outline when showering. It is nice maybe to install either a blind or curtain on the side of the bedroom, so it allows one to close the blinds or curtain so that we can have some privacy when showering.

What could be improved: Breakfast needs booking online - not explained clearly by reception during check in
We turned up at 930am on the first morning and found there was a waiting time of 40min which will mean end of breakfast time.
Eco cleaning was really minimal - only clean dustbins and add new towels, housekeeping did not bother to clear our used pool towels away from the room, or tidy the shoes or beds

Very nice, new and spacious room, heated indoor and outdoor pools, tasty food. You need to book a table for breakfast and dinner but it is convinient (online for breakfast, by phone for dinner) and thanks to that the restaurant is not overcrowded. You can take out the food and coffee too.

What could be improved: Outdoor pool opens at 3pm (winter season), there is a big variety but the food is not changing between days (6 nights stay). You need to walk or drive to the beach (but it is not that far away). In japanese restaurant the staff do not speak English and it is a bit difficult to comuniate as they are not really able to provide instructions on how to order etc.
