You know what surprised me most about the Park Inn by Radisson in Candolim? It’s actually tucked away on Sequera Vado – not right on the main beach strip where all the chaos happens, but close enough that you can hear the waves if you listen for them. I mean, when you first pull up, it doesn’t scream “five-star resort” from the outside, but honestly, that’s kind of refreshing in Goa where so many places try way too hard.

The thing is, this place gets the balance right between being properly nice and not feeling stuffy. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe – lots of white and blue that actually makes sense for a beach destination instead of feeling like someone just copied a design magazine. Check-in was smooth (they had my room ready even though I showed up around noon), and the staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing rather than just going through the motions. The rooms are solid – I stayed in one of the sea-facing ones on the fourth floor, and while you’re not exactly hanging over the beach, you can definitely catch glimpses of the Arabian Sea between the palm trees. The AC works like a dream, which honestly matters more than the view when it’s 35 degrees outside.

What I really appreciated was how they handle the whole Goa experience without overdoing it. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend your afternoons – it’s got this relaxed energy where families with kids mix with couples, and there’s enough space that it never feels crowded even during peak season. The restaurant serves decent Goan fish curry (though honestly, you’ll find better at the beach shacks), but their breakfast spread is actually impressive – proper South Indian options alongside the usual continental stuff. Here’s the thing though – if you’re looking to be right in the middle of Candolim’s nightlife scene, you’ll need to walk about ten minutes or grab an auto-rickshaw. But that also means you can actually sleep at night without bass lines thumping through your walls.

The beach access is straightforward – just head down towards Candolim Beach and you’re there in maybe five minutes on foot. During monsoon season (which you should probably avoid anyway), the whole area gets pretty quiet, but from October through March, you’ve got that perfect Goa weather where you can sit on their terrace in the evening without melting. Parking’s not an issue if you rent a scooter, and the hotel’s location means you can easily hop over to Calangute or even Anjuna without dealing with the worst of the traffic. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind or become your new favorite place on earth, but for a solid, well-run hotel that lets you enjoy Goa without any major headaches, the Park Inn delivers exactly what it promises – and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
