This five-star Georgian manor house has that effortless English elegance that money can’t buy overnight, the kind that comes from decades of hosting guests who expect nothing but perfection.

Location & Setting

Bagshot might not be the first place that springs to mind for a luxury retreat, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re just 45 minutes from central London by train, yet completely removed from the chaos. The property backs onto Windsor Great Park — I mean, you can literally walk into Crown Estate land from the hotel grounds. What struck me most was how couples seem to gravitate here; there’s something about the secluded setting that makes it feel like your own private sanctuary. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free too — none of that London nonsense where you’re circling blocks looking for a spot.

The Accommodation Experience

The room I stayed in was in the main house, and you know what? Those beds really are as comfortable as everyone says. I’m usually skeptical when hotels boast about their mattresses, but I actually slept better than I have in months. The décor walks that fine line between traditional English country house and contemporary luxury — think original period features but with modern bathrooms that actually work properly.
