I mean, walking in from the Strip – and honestly, the entrance is right there in the thick of everything between Bellagio and Paris – you’re hit with this whole movie memorabilia thing that could easily feel gimmicky. But somehow it actually works. There’s authentic props everywhere, like actual costumes from films you’ve seen, and it doesn’t feel as cheesy as you’d think it might.

The rooms are solid for a 4-star place on the Strip, though I’ll be real with you – if you’re expecting Wynn-level luxury, dial it back a bit. What you get is clean, modern spaces with decent blackout curtains (crucial for Vegas recovery mornings) and surprisingly good water pressure in the showers. The casino floor gets pretty loud, especially on weekends, but once you’re up in your room, it’s not bad. I stayed on the 15th floor and could barely hear the action below. One thing that caught me off guard was how efficiently they handle check-in – even during busy times, the lines move faster than some of the bigger properties nearby.

Here’s what I really appreciate about this place: it sits right in that sweet spot where you’re walking distance to everything that matters, but you’re not paying Caesars Palace prices. You can literally walk through the Miracle Mile shops to get to other casinos without stepping outside – which, trust me, matters when it’s 115 degrees in July. The pool area actually gets decent shade in the afternoons (rare for Strip hotels), and the Spice Market Buffet is honestly better than it has any right to be for a mid-tier casino. Sure, the 7.6 rating tells you it’s not perfect – sometimes the elevators take forever during peak hours, and the parking garage can be a maze if you’re not paying attention. But here’s the thing: this place gets Vegas right without trying too hard. It’s got that fun, slightly irreverent energy that makes you feel like you’re part of the show rather than just observing it. If you want reliable comfort in the heart of everything without breaking the bank, Planet Hollywood delivers exactly what it promises.
