The fact that it actually lives up to its name – and honestly, that doesn’t happen often in Queenstown where “luxury” gets thrown around pretty liberally. I mean, the place sits right on Brunswick Street, which puts you smack in the middle of everything without the chaos of being directly on Shotover Street with all those tour groups.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s really nice place that they just happen to rent out, not some sterile hotel room. The finishes are proper – I’m talking stone countertops that actually feel substantial, not that fake stuff you see everywhere. What I really appreciated was the attention to sound insulation because, let’s be real, central Queenstown can get pretty rowdy, especially during ski season or when the cruise ships roll in. But inside, it’s surprisingly quiet. The view situation is solid too – you’re not getting lake views at this price point, but you do get a decent peek at the surrounding hills, and there’s something nice about watching the town wake up from your window with a coffee.

Location-wise, this is where the place really shines. You’re literally a two-minute walk to Vudu Café (get the eggs Benedict, trust me), and about the same distance to catch the Skyline Gondola if that’s your thing. The Steamer Wharf is right there too, so if you’re doing any of the lake cruises or heading to Walter Peak, you’re not schlepping bags across town. Parking can be a bit of a dance in this area – there’s no dedicated spot, but street parking isn’t impossible if you know the rhythm (basically, anything after 6 PM and before 8 AM is fair game). The building itself has that modern apartment complex vibe, nothing too fancy from the outside, but the security is decent and the elevator works, which honestly is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed in town. Check-in was smooth – they actually texted me the entry codes rather than making me hunt down some office, which saved me about twenty minutes of wandering around with my luggage. One small thing though – the wifi can get a bit sluggish during peak hours when everyone’s uploading their Milford Sound photos, but it’s perfectly fine for staying connected.
