But inside, it’s surprisingly quiet. The view situation is solid too – you’re not getting lake views at this price point, but you do get a decent peek at the surrounding hills, and there’s something nice about watching the town wake up from your window with a coffee.

Location-wise, this is where the place really shines. You’re literally a two-minute walk to Vudu Café (get the eggs Benedict, trust me), and about the same distance to catch the Skyline Gondola if that’s your thing. The Steamer Wharf is right there too, so if you’re doing any of the lake cruises or heading to Walter Peak, you’re not schlepping bags across town. Parking can be a bit of a dance in this area – there’s no dedicated spot, but street parking isn’t impossible if you know the rhythm (basically, anything after 6 PM and before 8 AM is fair game). The building itself has that modern apartment complex vibe, nothing too fancy from the outside, but the security is decent and the elevator works, which honestly is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed in town. Check-in was smooth – they actually texted me the entry codes rather than making me hunt down some office, which saved me about twenty minutes of wandering around with my luggage.
