Honestly, when I first heard “luxury tents” in Pushkar, I was skeptical – I mean, how fancy can camping really get? But Rawai completely changed my perspective on glamping. The location is pretty brilliant actually, tucked away in Santoshi Mata Dhani, which puts you close enough to the main Pushkar action but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of motorbikes and street vendors that never seems to stop in the town center.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to blend that whole desert camp vibe with genuinely comfortable amenities. The tents themselves are spacious – I’m talking proper beds, not those flimsy cots you’d expect, and the bathrooms are surprisingly well-appointed (thank god, because I’ve had some questionable bathroom experiences in Rajasthan). You know what struck me most though? The silence at night. After spending time in central Pushkar where you’ve got everything from temple bells to late-night chai wallahs, the peace out here is almost jarring. The only sounds are desert winds and the occasional camel – which, let’s be honest, is exactly what you’re hoping for when you come to Rajasthan.

The staff really knows their stuff about the area, and they’re not just throwing around generic tourist recommendations. They pointed me toward some lesser-known spots around Savitri Mata Temple that I never would’ve found otherwise, and their timing advice was spot-on – they told me exactly when to head up for sunset to avoid the crowds (around 5 PM if you’re wondering, not the obvious 6 PM rush). The food situation is solid too, though I’d still recommend venturing into Pushkar proper for dinner sometimes because the street food scene there is incredible. One small thing that bothered me initially was the wi-fi – it’s decent but not lightning fast, though honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise when you’re trying to disconnect. The whole experience feels authentic without being uncomfortable, which is a tricky balance to strike. If you’re coming during peak season (October to March), book way ahead because this place fills up fast, and I can see why – it’s that sweet spot between adventure and comfort that’s actually pretty rare to find.
