Sapporo Prince Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about the Sapporo Prince Hotel? The way it sort of commands this corner of Susukino without being flashy about it. I mean, you’re literally steps from all the neon chaos of Sapporo’s entertainment district, but the moment you walk into that marble lobby, it’s like someone hit a mute button on the city.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Sapporo properly – you can stumble back from a late ramen run on Ramen Yokocho (trust me, you will), but you’re also close enough to Odori Park that morning jogs actually happen. The subway connections are ridiculously easy too; Susukino Station is practically next door, which I didn’t fully appreciate until I was hauling luggage around other parts of the city. The rooms themselves have this understated luxury thing going on – not the kind of over-the-top glitz you sometimes get with five-star places, but everything just works. The beds are firm in that Japanese way that somehow leaves you more rested, and the bathrooms actually have proper tubs (revolutionary concept, I know). What really impressed me was the attention to small stuff – the blackout curtains are serious business, which you’ll appreciate if you’re dealing with jet lag or if you’ve been out exploring Susukino until the early hours.
Here’s the thing though – it gets busy during snow festival season, and I mean really busy. The elevators can be a bit of a wait, and the usually calm lobby turns into this buzzing hive of tourists juggling camera equipment and snow boots. But honestly? The staff handles it like pros, and there’s something kind of energizing about being in the middle of all that winter festival excitement. The concierge team actually knows their stuff too – they pointed me toward this little standing bar in the basement of a nearby building that I never would have found otherwise. Parking is available but fills up fast during peak times, so if you’re driving (though honestly, why would you in Sapporo?), book ahead. The restaurant situation is solid without being extraordinary – good breakfast buffet with both Western and Japanese options, though I found myself eating out most nights because, well, you’re in one of Japan’s best food cities. Overall, it’s the kind of place that just gets out of your way and lets you enjoy Sapporo, which is exactly what you want from a hotel.

Near to The subway, have shuttle bus to the sapporo station, which is a Plus as we don’t have have to drag and carry luggage so much…. The room was huge… more than enough to open 2 luggages… Perfect! 🥰 What could be improved: Nothing… it was...

Very happy with our stay at the Sapporo Prince Hotel. The rooms are small, but large enough (compared to others) to be able to unpack 3 suitcases. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet and dark (during the...
I like the location, its convenient and it is easy to see from a far. There is also airport shuttle but you need to reserve ahead. What could be improved: We booked a standard room (floor 11). It looked a bit outdated in terms of interior. TV does...
Breakfast is great. However, the hotel is fully booked, so there is a long queue for eating.
But the Hotel already put a warning sign to come for breakfast early. Room is clean.
Beautiful view from our room, clean facilities. What could be improved: I understand tattoo culture in Japan, however I was quite upset to see that we were not able to use the onsen in the hotel because of our tattoos and were not warned in advance....

Breakfast is very amazing! Pajamas are very comfortable.
What could be improved: Thought I could get a good view of the city so I booked a higher floor room. But I didn’t see much from my room.
