The location is actually pretty solid—you’re close enough to Old Manali that a quick rickshaw ride gets you to the main action, but far enough from the Prini chaos that you’re not dealing with constant honking at night. The central heating works like a dream (crucial up there, trust me), and the spa treatments are legit—they use local herbs that actually smell like the mountains instead of generic lavender everything.

But here’s the thing that bugs me about Snow Flakes: the service feels inconsistent in that way that screams “trying too hard but missing the basics.” The lobby looks impressive with all that marble and those massive windows facing the valley, and check-in is smooth enough, but then you’ll wait twenty minutes for room service or find out the hot water’s sketchy on the third floor. I mean, for what they’re charging, especially during peak season when half of Delhi descends on Manali, you expect things to just work. The restaurant serves decent Himachali food—their trout is actually fresh, not frozen like some places—and the Continental stuff is fine if unremarkable. What I genuinely appreciated was how quiet it stays even when they’re fully booked; the sound insulation is better than most places up there.
