But here’s the thing – and I mean this as someone who’s stayed at quite a few places around Gujarat’s temple circuit – there’s a gap between what this resort promises and what it actually delivers. The rooms are spacious enough, and you can tell they’ve invested in decent furnishings, but there are these little details that just… well, they don’t quite hit the mark. The Wi-Fi cuts out more than you’d expect from a five-star place, and I noticed the housekeeping staff seemed a bit overwhelmed during my stay in peak season. That 6.4 rating you see online? It actually makes sense once you’ve been there. The facilities look great on paper, but the execution feels like they’re still figuring things out. I had to call the front desk twice just to get extra towels, which shouldn’t be a thing at this price point.

What I will say is this – if you’re someone who values being close to Somnath Temple without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the temple area, this spot works. You’re maybe ten minutes from the main temple complex, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant flow of pilgrims and tour buses at all hours. The restaurant serves decent Gujarati thali, though nothing that’ll blow your mind, and the staff genuinely tries to be helpful even when things don’t go smoothly. I actually ended up having some good conversations with the manager about the best times to visit nearby Bhalka Tirtha – turns out early evening is perfect if you want to avoid both the heat and the crowds. The resort’s swimming pool is probably its best feature, especially after a long day of temple-hopping in the Gujarat sun. Just don’t expect the five-star experience to be consistent throughout your stay. It’s more like a solid three-and-a-half-star place with four-star ambitions and five-star pricing.
