The five-star property sits on what feels like endless manicured grounds in Brewster, and you know what struck me most? The way the afternoon light hits those classic New England architectural lines. There’s something almost cinematic about the whole approach.
The Grounds and Activities
The resort spreads across 429 acres — I mean, you could honestly spend days just exploring the property itself. What I loved was discovering the tennis court tucked away near the fitness center, and the golf course access is genuinely impressive if that’s your thing. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free (free on-site, which isn’t always a given in this area), and I actually found myself taking long walks around the grounds in the evening. Cape Cod Bay is right there, and the private beach access means you can escape the summer crowds that pack the public beaches along Route 6A.
The Room Experience
My room was in the main mansion building, and I have to say — those beds really do live up to the hype. I’m usually a light sleeper, but something about the combination of the thick walls and quality linens just worked. The décor walks this interesting line between classic New England elegance and modern comfort, though I’ll admit some of the furnishings feel a bit formal for a beach getaway. What really got me was the view from my window — you’re looking out over perfectly maintained gardens that seem to stretch forever.
Dining and Atmosphere
The main restaurant surprised me, actually. I was expecting typical resort fare, but the chef clearly knows how to work with local ingredients — the seafood especially. Breakfast service runs a bit slow (this is Cape Cod, after all), but there’s something nice about lingering over coffee while watching the grounds come alive in the morning. The spa treatments are solid, though I’d recommend booking well ahead during summer months. The whole place has this unhurried, old-money kind of vibe that either works for you or it doesn’t.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is the space — both physical and mental. You’re close enough to Brewster’s charming downtown and those gorgeous bay beaches, but far enough removed that you actually feel like you’ve escaped somewhere special. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the romantic atmosphere (and I can see why), but honestly, anyone looking to decompress will find something here. The staff strikes that perfect balance of attentive without being intrusive, and there’s genuine luxury in having 429 acres mostly to yourself and a handful of other guests.

Beautiful room. Frost Bar igloo's were a great experience. Top Notch service and hospitality. Pool and Hot tub were a welcome soak after a day walking Provincetown. Highly recommended!
