HOTEL OVERVIEW
You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places on the Strip, but The Palazzo at The Venetian really does something different. Walking into that lobby for the first time – honestly, it’s overwhelming in the best way. The ceilings are so ridiculously high you’ll probably crane your neck like a tourist (which, let’s face it, you probably are). But here’s the thing that actually matters: those suites are massive. I mean, my regular room was bigger than most people’s apartments, with a sunken living area that made me feel like I was living in some 1990s music video. The marble bathrooms are genuinely impressive too – separate soaking tub, glass shower that’s actually big enough for tall people, and countertops you could probably perform surgery on.
The location is pretty perfect if you want to be right in the thick of things but not completely lose your mind. You’re basically connected to the Venetian, so you can wander over to see those gondola rides (touristy but actually kind of charming at night), and you’re close enough to walk to Wynn or the newer places like Resorts World without dealing with taxis. The shopping situation is insane – there’s the Grand Canal Shoppes right there, which honestly feels more like Disneyland than a mall, but in a good way. Pro tip: if you’re planning to eat at one of their nicer restaurants, book way ahead. I learned that the hard way trying to get into CUT on a Saturday night.
What really sold me on this place was the service, though. Check-in was surprisingly smooth for Vegas (where it usually takes forever), and the housekeeping staff actually pays attention to details – like, they’ll remember how you like your pillows arranged. The pool area gets absolutely packed during spring break and summer weekends, so if you’re not into that scene, hit it early morning or late afternoon. One small thing that bugged me – the elevators can be slow when there’s a convention in town, and trust me, there’s always a convention in town. But honestly? The rooms are so comfortable you might not want to leave anyway. The beds are legitimately some of the best I’ve slept in, and the blackout curtains actually work, which is crucial when you stumble back at 3 AM and need to sleep until noon. If you’re looking for that over-the-top Vegas luxury experience without staying somewhere that feels like a theme park, this is probably your spot.
