The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel Overview
So I’ll be honest – when I first walked into The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, I wasn’t expecting much beyond your typical fancy hotel experience. Boy, was I wrong. This place sits right in the heart of Kioicho, which honestly is one of those Tokyo neighborhoods that feels almost too quiet for the capital city, but in the best possible way. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station, and I mean actually three minutes, not that inflated hotel math where they pretend rush hour doesn’t exist.
What really got me was the view situation – and I’m talking about floors 30 through 36 here, so you’re basically floating above the Imperial Palace gardens. The staff mentioned they’re part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, which explains why everything feels so dialed in without being stuffy about it. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for Tokyo (you can actually open your suitcase without doing furniture Tetris), and there’s this minimalist thing going on that somehow manages to feel warm instead of cold. You know what really impressed me though? The soundproofing. I mean, you’re in central Tokyo and I could barely hear the traffic from Sotobori-dori, which runs right nearby.
The restaurant scene here is actually worth planning your evening around – they’ve got this French place called Levita that honestly rivals some of the better spots in Ginza, plus a sky bar on the 36th floor that locals seem to know about but tourists haven’t totally discovered yet. Pro tip: if you’re here during cherry blossom season (and good luck getting a reservation then), the view over the palace grounds is pretty spectacular, though you’ll pay for it. The whole area gets crazy busy during hanami, but the hotel itself stays relatively calm since most people are picnicking in the parks rather than hanging around lobbies. Check-in was smooth – they actually had my room ready at noon, which never happens in my experience. Only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevators can get a bit slow during peak times, but honestly, when you’re staying somewhere with a 9.4 rating, that’s about as much as you can complain about.

This was the best hotel on our 2 week trip. The room was spacious and had an absolutely amazing view! The location is perfect for exploring Tokyo, as it is in the middle between Ginza, Shijuku, Shibuya and is super well connected. Breakfast...

Great location, excellent people. Great views of Tokyo
Absolutely perfect and stylish. Room, club lounge, bar. The only strange thing is that the property wants to charge for sauna additional money but this is minor inconvenience
We came back from an earlier stay because it is an exceptional hotel.
What could be improved: Nothing in particular
The Front Office Staff are very friendly. Communicate via spoken English. Mr. Kentaro Usami is an exceptional staff. Does beyond his duties to help us. Deep appreciation. Room has fantastic views - very rare in Tokyo. What could be improved:...
