Actually, skip the rental car situation if you can because parking around here is… well, let’s just say it’s expensive and leave it at that. The beach access is phenomenal though – you get that perfect stretch of sand without having to fight crowds the way you do at some of the more budget-friendly spots further down. I’ve stayed here during both peak season (December-March, when it’s absolutely packed) and shoulder season, and honestly, the service stays consistent either way. Check-in can get a bit backed up during busy periods, but the staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right rather than just moving people through the line. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you experience how they handle the little details – fresh flowers in the lobby that actually smell amazing, towel service that doesn’t make you hunt down attendants, that sort of thing. It’s pricey, no question about it, but if you’re looking for that authentic luxury Hawaiian experience without venturing to the outer islands, this place delivers on what it promises.
