I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to The Tree House Resort – I mean, it’s basically on the highway about 34 kilometers out from Jaipur proper, right across from Amity University. The traffic noise from NH8 just sort of… disappears, which is pretty impressive considering how crazy that stretch of highway can get.

The whole treehouse concept actually works here – and I was skeptical at first because, let’s be honest, a lot of these themed places in Rajasthan can feel pretty gimmicky. But they’ve done something really special with the natural landscape. The rooms are these elevated wooden structures that genuinely feel like you’re staying up in the canopy, and the way they’ve integrated everything with the existing trees is pretty thoughtful. I stayed in one of the higher units and could hear peacocks calling in the morning, which sounds cheesy but was actually magical. The bathrooms are surprisingly luxurious too – none of that “rustic charm” where you’re basically camping indoors.

What really sold me on this place was how they handle the whole nature experience without making you rough it. The restaurant serves decent Rajasthani food (their dal baati churma is solid), and the staff genuinely knows the area well – they pointed me toward some local spots I never would have found otherwise. The pool area gets busy around sunset when families with kids show up, but mornings are usually pretty peaceful if you want to actually relax. Parking’s never an issue, which is nice because you’ll definitely need a car out here. The only real downside is that you’re pretty dependent on the resort for meals – there’s not much walkable nearby except the university campus, and the nearest decent restaurants are back toward the main city. But honestly, that isolation is kind of the point. The 8.7 rating feels about right – it’s well-managed, the rooms are genuinely comfortable, and they’ve created this little oasis that feels way more remote than it actually is. If you’re doing the Golden Triangle circuit and want something different from the usual palace hotels in the city center, this place delivers on its promise without the usual tourist trap nonsense.
