The World Backwaters, Alleppey

We loved it!! The pool has a great size with beautiful views to the backwaters. Beautiful and clean property. Food is delicious. The staff is simply the best!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful property, set in serene backwaters and offering tranquility and space for relaxation. Food was very good at breakfast and dinner - the chef is doing a great job, especially when we compare to other properties across India. Well done. Nice welcome at check-in with reception staff waiting and providing welcome drinks. We participated in the New Year’s Eve gala which was superbly organized - impressive array of food, entertainment and thoughtful organization and presentation. Rooms were good - we had four including two executive villas with pool, which allowed for an even higher level of comfort and relaxation. Would come back again.

Loved everything. The location the views the food the staff and the spa. Vishnu indraja and team at the restaurant, chef Prateesh and team in the kitchen, aswathy and team at the front desk and abhi and the other therapist at the spa and Madhu and team at the security were all fantastic and made our holiday truly memorable and special.
Everything is reasonably priced and good value for money. The serene scenic backwaters bordering the property adds a surreal effect to this property. Will definitely go back here every year and recommend to anyone looking for a leisure vacation and I am told they also host small weddings and other ceremonies.

Lots of good facilities to make use of including but not limited to a pool, gym, Tusker’s Bar, fishing (tiny fish) and spa.
Very attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant on site is great and our stay included breakfast. The chef was incredibly friendly and comes to check in after your meal. There was also a high tea in the afternoon where you could enjoy tea and baked goods with a lovely view of the backwaters!

We booked lakeside view and stream view room. Definitely recommend the lakeside view room as the location of this Hotel is very well placed facing the Backwaters. The staff upon arrival were very friendly.

Sorry if I have misspelt any names but special compliments go out to: Febi/Femi who was very sweet in giving us a tour and guiding us to our rooms. We met Vishnu at the restaurant who was really helpful in recommending what to eat as one of our guests fell ill. Also, we met the exec chef Pratheesh who always made the effort to talk to guests and the same with us. We will very much miss Vishnu and Pratheesh, nice guys and wish them all the best!

This is a wonderful property - with just about 28 cottages in varying sizes. We were a family of 4 adults and during our stay, we experienced the Suite, the Pool Villa, the Stream Villa and the Lake view room across 5D /4N. Right from check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. The entire team at the resort was extremely courteous and hospitable - going out of their way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Special shout out to Mr.Vishnu, Mr. Mithun from the F&B team and Ms. Aswathi from the Front Office for the excellent arrangements. Chef Prateesh and his team took good care of us during our stay as well. A wonderful experience - definitely worth coming back to.

The breakfast was good and all the dishes we ordered at the restaurant were fresh and tasty. And the rooms were nice. We stayed at the stream villas. They were spacious and there was a sofa bed in all the rooms that helped to increase the occupancy capacity in a single villa, without needing an extra bed.
There were many activities like badminton, table tennis, archery, cycling, outdoor pool, etc.
They also arranged a boat on demand to do one-hour boating in the backwaters. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.
