The lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” like some Miami Beach hotels do. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions.
The location is actually pretty smart – you’re far enough north of the madness but still close enough to everything. I mean, you can walk to the beach in literally two minutes, and it’s this gorgeous stretch of sand that’s way less crowded than what you’ll find further south. The ocean here has that perfect turquoise color that makes you want to just stare at it for hours. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings – you can actually hear the waves instead of constant traffic noise. The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows facing the water, and honestly, waking up to that view never gets old. The balconies are spacious enough to actually use, not like those tiny ledges some hotels call outdoor space.
Here’s something most people don’t mention – the pool area is where this place really shines. It’s got this resort vibe without feeling overly busy, even during peak season. The poolside service is solid (though expect Miami prices, obviously), and there’s enough seating that you’re not fighting for a chair if you’re not down there by 8 AM. Parking is valet only, which runs about $35 a night – just factor that into your budget because street parking around here is basically non-existent. The fitness center is better than expected, and the spa services are decent if you’re into that sort of thing. I’d say the dining options are good but not groundbreaking – you’ll probably want to venture out to some of the amazing spots along the beach anyway.
