The moment you pull up the palm-lined drive off NW 87th, you realize this isn’t just another hotel trying to ride on golf course views. The valet team moves fast (thank god, because Miami heat doesn’t mess around), and honestly, the lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” like some South Beach places do.
The golf courses here are legitimately spectacular – I’m talking four championship courses that PGA Tour pros actually play on, not just some executive course thrown together for appearances. Even if you’re not into golf, walking around the Blue Monster course at sunset is pretty magical. The rooms are spacious, and here’s something I appreciated: the blackout curtains actually work. You’re close enough to the action in Doral and Coral Gables (maybe 15 minutes to either), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise. The spa gets busy on weekends, so book treatments early if you’re visiting during season – basically November through April when all the snowbirds descend on South Florida.
What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail that you don’t always get at resort properties this size. The staff remembers your name after day one, the restaurants actually care about food quality (the steakhouse is worth the splurge), and the pools never feel overcrowded even when the hotel’s full. I mean, sure, you’re paying for all this – it’s definitely not a budget option – but you can feel where your money’s going. The fitness center opens at 5 AM for early birds, and there’s something satisfying about getting a workout in before the Florida humidity kicks into high gear. If you’re flying into Miami International, you’re looking at maybe 20 minutes in an Uber, which beats the hour-plus trek to some of the beach hotels when traffic’s bad. Pro tip: if you’re here during tournament season, book dinner reservations way ahead – the place fills up with golf enthusiasts who know good hospitality when they see it.

In the restaurant all the staff members were welcoming . Mr Mannie was awesome. When he found out my wife was in the hospital every day he asked me about her when she came out he showed great empathy. He also remembered us from our last visit.
