What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night despite being so close to everything. The rooms face away from the main strip, so you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM (trust me, that’s a real problem at some other places in Chatan).

The rooms themselves feel bigger than most Japanese hotels – actually, they feel bigger than a lot of places back home. There’s this attention to detail that you don’t always get, even at four-star spots. Like, the bathroom has one of those deep soaking tubs that’s actually long enough for normal-sized humans, and the shower pressure is incredible (seriously, after a day of walking around in Okinawan humidity, this matters more than you think). You’re close enough to walk everywhere you want to go, but far enough from the noise that you can actually relax when you want to.
