YO1 Longevity & Health Resorts, Catskills Overview
First Impressions
Driving up to YO1 Longevity & Health Resorts, Catskills feels like discovering a well-kept secret tucked away in the rolling hills of Monticello. The property sits on Anawana Lake Road, and honestly, you might second-guess your GPS until you see the understated entrance — this four-star retreat doesn’t announce itself with flashy signage, which I actually appreciated. The setting is genuinely peaceful, surrounded by dense forest and overlooking a pristine lake that reflects the changing Catskill Mountains scenery. You know what struck me most? The immediate sense of quiet that settles over you as soon as you step out of your car.
The Wellness Philosophy
What sets this place apart is its serious commitment to holistic health — and I mean serious in the best way. The spa here isn’t just about massages and facials; they’ve built an entire program around Ayurvedic principles, yoga, and meditation that feels authentic rather than trendy. The staff actually knows what they’re talking about when it comes to wellness practices, which you don’t always find at health retreats. I spent time in their solarium (a glass-enclosed space that captures mountain light beautifully), and the fitness center offers everything from traditional equipment to specialized classes. The approach here is more about long-term lifestyle changes than quick fixes, which couples seem to particularly appreciate — apparently they rate this place quite highly for romantic getaways focused on wellness.
Accommodations & Dining
The room I stayed in was comfortable without being overly fancy — clean lines, natural materials, and those floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the forest views perfectly. Don’t expect ultra-modern amenities, but everything you need is there, including surprisingly good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast is where they really shine though — the buffet setup includes continental options alongside vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices that actually taste good. I mean, how often can you say that about health-focused food? The restaurant staff seems genuinely knowledgeable about dietary restrictions, and they’ll customize meals based on your wellness goals if you’re doing one of their programs.
Location & Practical Details
Being about two hours from Manhattan makes this feel like a proper escape without requiring a major travel commitment. The Catskills location means you’re surrounded by hiking trails, and the property itself sits on enough acreage that you can walk for hours without seeing another soul. Parking is free and plentiful — always a relief when you’re used to city rates. Recent guests have been rating the location highly, and I can see why; it strikes that perfect balance between accessible and remote. The lake access is a real bonus during warmer months, though even in cooler weather, the views are worth it.
Why Guests Love It
This isn’t the kind of place where you’ll find a bustling social scene or elaborate entertainment — and that’s exactly the point. Couples particularly seem drawn to the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to focus on each other without distractions. The wellness programs are substantial enough to feel transformative if you commit to them, but not so rigid that you can’t just relax and enjoy the natural setting. What I found most appealing was the genuine sense of restoration you get here — it’s one of those places where you actually feel different when you leave, not just temporarily relaxed.

Guest Reviews
I enjoyed the breakfast and location. It's very close to Karite and resorts.
The breakfast was good. The dinner was too expensive - the soup was great! The facility was clean. We enjoyed the massage, steam room, hottub, and game room. The bed was comfortable but the pillows too soft.
The lake is really stunning
Free yoga class, swimming pool, activity room, breakfast included
After New York City, the YO1 were a total breath of fresh air. The nature here is stunning—we saw deer and ducks right around the hotel and took a lovely little trail to a nearby lake. The clean, crisp air and gorgeous scenery were a huge highlight ...
The breakfast was amazing - I loved that you catered to gluten-free and vegan diets. Loved all the berries. And the gluten-free pancakes. And veggies sausage. Thank you! Oh and the oatmeal!
Close to Bethel Woods concert venue.
Quiet.
Breakfast was fine nothing special for the price.
The King room was spacious and the bathroom was large with a great shower and bidet. The personal balcony was welcome and private.
The property is gorgeous and serene
