HOTEL OVERVIEW
Look, I’ll be honest – ARIA sort of sneaks up on you when you’re walking the Strip. It’s not screaming for attention like some of the older casinos, but once you step inside, you realize this place actually knows what it’s doing. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that feels refreshing after dealing with the visual chaos outside. And the air conditioning? Thank god, because Vegas in summer is basically hell with slot machines.
What really got me about ARIA is how they’ve managed to make a massive resort feel… well, not completely overwhelming. The casino floor is huge, don’t get me wrong, but the layout actually makes sense – you can find your way around without feeling like you’re trapped in a maze designed by someone who hates tourists. The restaurants are legit good too, not just overpriced tourist traps. I mean, you’re still paying Vegas prices, but at least the food lives up to it. The buffet gets crazy busy around 7 PM though, so either go early or prepare to wait with a bunch of other hungry people clutching those little buzzer things.
Here’s what I really appreciated – the rooms are genuinely modern and the beds are actually comfortable (I’m looking at you, other Strip hotels with mattresses from 1987). The floor-to-ceiling windows give you these incredible views, whether you’re facing the mountains or looking down at the Strip madness. You know what’s funny? The bathrooms are probably nicer than most people’s entire apartments. The only thing that bugged me was the noise level – if you get a room facing Las Vegas Boulevard, you’re going to hear traffic and sirens pretty much all night. It’s not terrible, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs or request something facing away from the street.
The whole CityCenter complex thing is actually pretty convenient once you figure it out – you can walk to Bellagio or Cosmopolitan through these covered walkways without dealing with the crowds on the sidewalk. Pro tip: if you’re driving, their self-parking garage is free for the first hour, which is honestly generous for the Strip. After that, well, it’s Vegas – everything costs money. But the valet guys are quick and friendly, so if you’re not pinching pennies, it’s worth it just to avoid circling those parking levels looking for a spot.
