You’re close enough to walk to the famous Ganpatipule temple (maybe 10-15 minutes if you don’t mind the stroll), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the crowds and the constant stream of pilgrims during peak season. I mean, don’t get me wrong – the temple is incredible and definitely worth the visit, but it’s nice to have that buffer zone. The resort itself has this five-star classification, though I’d say it feels more like a well-appointed four-star in practice. The rooms are spacious and clean, with that modern-meets-traditional vibe that works well for the Konkan coast setting. What I really appreciated was the attention to local touches – the lobby has these beautiful Warli art pieces, and the restaurant actually serves decent sol kadhi (which, let’s be honest, many resort restaurants completely butcher).

The spa is where they really shine, and it makes sense given it’s right there in the name. They use a lot of Ayurvedic treatments, and the therapists seem to actually know what they’re doing rather than just going through the motions. The pool area gets busy during weekends and holidays – mostly with families from Mumbai and Pune who drive down for quick getaways – but weekday mornings are absolutely perfect for a quiet swim. One thing that surprised me was how good the food is. The seafood is obviously fresh (you’re literally on the coast), but even the vegetarian options have that authentic Maharashtrian flavor that you don’t always find at resort restaurants. Their breakfast spread is solid too, though it can get a bit chaotic when they’re at full capacity.

Plus, if you’re driving from Mumbai, it’s a much more manageable journey than going all the way to Goa.
