What really got me though was the attention to detail in the rooms. I stayed in one of the ocean-view suites (splurged a bit, no regrets), and the bathroom alone was bigger than some hotel rooms I’ve been in. The marble work is beautiful, and they’ve got these deep soaking tubs that actually fit a normal-sized human being. Little things like that matter when you’re paying premium prices.

The spa is where this place really shines – and I’m someone who’s usually skeptical about hotel spas being worth the hype. This one actually delivers. The oceanfront location means you can literally hear the waves during your treatment, which sounds cheesy but honestly enhances the whole experience. They use some local ingredients in their treatments too, which feels authentic rather than gimmicky. The pool area can get busy during peak season (think February through April when all the snowbirds descend), but if you time it right – early morning or late afternoon – you’ll have these incredible sunset views practically to yourself. The beach access is direct, no walking through other properties or dealing with crowded boardwalks. Just down some steps and you’re on what’s essentially a semi-private stretch of sand.

Food-wise, they’ve got options that go beyond typical resort fare. The main restaurant does this fresh, coastal cuisine thing really well – I had grouper that was probably caught that morning, and they source a lot of ingredients locally. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean is worth getting up early for, especially if you can snag one of the corner tables. Parking is valet only, which some people complain about, but honestly it’s hassle-free and the staff knows what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth, no waiting around in lobbies, and they seem to have their systems down pat.

What makes this place special isn’t just the obvious luxury stuff – though that’s certainly there – it’s how they’ve managed to create this sense of exclusivity without being pretentious about it. You’re in Palm Beach, so yes, it attracts a certain crowd, but the vibe is more relaxed elegance than stuffy formality. If you’re looking for a place where you can genuinely unwind and feel pampered without constantly being reminded you’re at a “luxury resort,” this hits the mark. Just book early if you’re planning a winter visit – this isn’t exactly a hidden gem anymore.
