I mean, it’s not exactly where you’d picture a five-star property, you know? But here’s the thing that surprised me: this location actually works in its favor. You’re about twenty minutes from Kempegowda International Airport (which is genuinely convenient if you have early flights), but far enough from the main Bangalore chaos that you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic horns.

The property itself has this interesting vibe – it’s trying to be luxurious, and in many ways it succeeds, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. The lobby smells like jasmine and sandalwood, which I appreciated after the dusty drive through Devanahalli. Check-in was smooth, though I did notice they’re still working out some kinks with their system – nothing major, just the kind of small hiccups you get at places that aren’t completely cookie-cutter corporate hotels. The rooms are spacious, and I mean genuinely spacious, not just “spacious for India” spacious. They’ve got this modern aesthetic going on, but they’ve managed to incorporate some local touches without making it feel forced. The bathroom was particularly impressive – great water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss even at nice places around here.

What really won me over was the restaurant and the outdoor areas. The food is solid – they do a good job with both South Indian breakfast items and continental options, though honestly, stick with the local stuff because that’s where they shine. The poolside area is where you’ll want to spend your evenings, especially during cooler months. It gets pretty quiet after sunset, and on clear nights you can actually see stars, which is rare anywhere near Bangalore these days. Now, I should mention that the 7.4 rating makes sense when you consider this isn’t your typical city center luxury experience. The service is enthusiastic but sometimes a bit rough around the edges, and the WiFi can be spotty in some areas of the property. But you know what? There’s something charming about a place that’s still finding its rhythm. The staff genuinely seems to care, and they’re not jaded like you sometimes encounter at more established hotels. If you’re looking for a place to decompress before or after flights, or if you’re doing business in the Devanahalli area and want something nicer than the usual airport hotels, this is actually a pretty sweet spot. Just don’t expect the polished perfection of a Leela or Taj – this is more about space, quiet, and a different pace altogether.
