The location on Camino Casablanca is pretty sweet if you know Algarrobo at all. You’re far enough from the main beach chaos (which, let’s face it, can get absolutely insane during summer weekends), but close enough that you can walk to the good stuff without breaking a sweat. The building itself sits up a bit, so from apartment 402 in the Oceano block – yeah, they really went all-in on the ocean theme with the naming – you get these legit views of the water. Not like “if you crane your neck and squint” views, but actual wake-up-and-see-the-Pacific kind of views. The morning light coming through those windows is honestly pretty spectacular, especially if you’re an early riser like me.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even when the town fills up with Santiago folks escaping for the weekend. The building’s design sort of buffers you from street noise, and the apartment itself feels more spacious than you’d expect. The kitchen’s actually functional – I mean, you can cook real meals, not just reheat empanadas (though there’s nothing wrong with reheating empanadas). There’s decent counter space and the fridge is full-size, which matters if you’re staying more than a couple nights. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s tried to find a spot near Algarrobo’s beach during peak season will appreciate.

The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but everything works properly and the place is genuinely comfortable. I’d say that 8.7 rating makes sense because while it delivers on what it promises, there are little things that could be better. The WiFi can get a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone’s streaming, and the water pressure varies depending on time of day. But honestly? Those are pretty minor complaints when you’re waking up to ocean views and you’ve got easy access to both the beach scene and the quieter coastal walks that make this stretch of coast special. If you’re looking for a solid base to explore the area without paying resort prices, this place definitely delivers.
