Miracle Springs Resort and Spa
Miracle Springs Resort and Spa Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, Miracle Springs Resort and Spa caught me off guard in the best possible way. You know what I expected driving into Desert Hot Springs? Something a bit tired, maybe trading on the natural springs without much else to offer. Instead, this four-star property feels genuinely rejuvenating — there’s something about the way they’ve designed the place that makes you slow down the moment you arrive. The parking situation is refreshingly simple (free and right on-site), which honestly sets a relaxed tone from the start.
The Natural Springs Experience
The mineral springs here are the real deal, and I mean that literally — Desert Hot Springs sits on some of the purest natural hot springs in California. What makes Miracle Springs special is how they’ve integrated these healing waters throughout the property without making it feel clinical or overly spa-like. The water actually comes from deep underground aquifers, and you can feel the difference in how your skin feels afterward. I spent way more time than planned just soaking and watching the desert landscape shift colors as the sun moved across the sky.
Accommodations and Amenities
My room was comfortable without trying too hard — clean lines, decent space, and those little touches that show someone’s paying attention to guest comfort. The spa treatments are where this place really shines, though. They use techniques that actually complement the mineral water experience rather than just offering generic massage packages. What surprised me was the ping-pong table and karaoke setup — sounds random, but it creates this unexpectedly social atmosphere where guests actually talk to each other instead of just scrolling their phones.
Location and Surroundings
Desert Hot Springs isn’t Palm Springs, and that’s actually the point. It’s quieter, less scene-y, and you’re here for restoration rather than being seen. The location works particularly well for couples — there’s something about the desert setting that encourages you to disconnect from everything else and focus on each other. You’re still close enough to Palm Springs if you want dinner options, but far enough away that you won’t get pulled into the usual vacation distractions. The repeat guest rate here tells you something important — people come back because it actually delivers on the healing retreat promise.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps drawing people back isn’t just the springs themselves, but how the whole experience feels authentic rather than manufactured. The staff seems to genuinely understand that guests are here to recharge, not to be entertained constantly. There’s a restaurant on-site that serves exactly what you want after a day of soaking — nothing fancy, just good food that doesn’t require you to get dressed up or drive anywhere. I left feeling like I’d actually reset, not just taken a vacation. For the price point and the genuine healing focus, Miracle Springs delivers something you can’t really find in the more polished resort towns.

We had such a great time here. It's a convenient location close to the casino, with large rooms and balconies. I was able to enjoy the 24-hour hot tub and felt great because the staff was so friendly. The breakfast was also delicious.

Easy access to Joshua Tree. The pools were a nice way to relax after a hard hike. A good value.

Nice clean room with a fridge, microwave and a balcony with a beautiful view of the pool. The beds were fine, the bathroom was clean. The water comes from natural hot springs and even the toilets' water was warm and steamy! It's conveniently situated near Joshua Tree national park so was a perfect stop for us (different to a motel).
