Natalino Hotel Patagonia Overview
So I’ve stayed at the Natalino Hotel Patagonia a couple times now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets Puerto Natales right. You know how some hotels feel like they could be anywhere? This isn’t one of them. Walking up to the entrance on Eberhard Street, you immediately get that this place understands where it sits – there’s something about the way they’ve built it that feels respectful of the Patagonian landscape without trying too hard to be rustic.
The location is actually pretty perfect if you know Puerto Natales at all. Eberhard is basically the main drag where things happen, so you’re walking distance from the good restaurants (and trust me, you’ll want to try a few beyond the hotel dining) and that little waterfront area where locals hang out in the evenings. I mean, you’re also close enough to hear some street noise during the day, but it dies down at night – and honestly, after a day of Torres del Paine hiking, you’ll sleep through anything anyway. The staff really knows their stuff about the national park logistics, which matters more than you might think. They’ll actually give you realistic timelines for the bus connections and boat schedules, not just hand you a brochure.
What surprised me most was how the place handles the shoulder seasons – you know, those weird months when Patagonian weather can’t decide what it wants to do. The heating works properly (sounds basic, but you’d be shocked how many places here struggle with that), and there’s this nice common area where you end up chatting with other travelers who are dealing with the same unpredictable weather delays. The rooms themselves are solid – nothing fancy, but the beds are actually comfortable and the bathrooms have decent water pressure, which feels like a luxury after camping. I will say the WiFi can be spotty during peak evening hours when everyone’s uploading their Torres del Paine photos, but that’s pretty standard for this part of Chile. The breakfast spread is better than most places in town, though don’t expect anything too elaborate – it’s more about having good coffee and enough fuel to get you started on whatever adventure you’re planning. What I really appreciate is that they don’t oversell what they are. It’s a comfortable, well-run place that understands its role as base camp for one of the most incredible national parks in the world, and they do that job really well.

Breakfast, shower pressure, room and staff
What could be improved: The only improvement could be the temperature of the indoor pool. It was not warm enough, considering we stayed in the hotel in autumn.
Great location walking distance to everything. Breakfast was great, and showers were fantastic. The rooms have a view of a wall.
Convenient location and good breakfast.

Perfect location, modern hotel, decent breakfast. Terrific staff. Good Bed.
What could be improved: Room is on the small side. No refrigerator. Pool is small and cold. The heated part is the room not the pool.
